I've been curious about performance art for a while now, and I saw this project as an opportunity to experiment with it. My first time with it went much rougher than I thought, and I definitely would change some key things if I were to do it again.

Craft/material studies isn't really my first choice of major, but I have some interest in it. So, I decided to pop on over, and I was actually very impressed with what I saw. I liked the exhibition of student work, and how closely together that the students were working. It gave a real sense of community.

The sculpture program was very impressive. Large workshops and workspaces, displays of student work, and busy art students were all around. Fliers hung on the walls for senior art shows and gallery openings.

My visit to the film department was not overly eventful. It was a nice environment in the pollack building, and even the posted notices had a bit of humor to them (which I liked). I spoke to a photo student who had taken some of the film classes, and he said that the film program was very intensive. He said that I would probably be working a lot in 8mm film.
